Time-cumulative effects of neonicotinoid exposure, heatwaves and food limitation on stream mayfly nymphs: A multiple-stressor experiment

Summary: The global intensification of agriculture has led to pesticides playing an increasingly important role in environmental change. This study investigates the combined effects of the widely used insecticide imidacloprid, heatwaves, and food limitation on freshwater organisms. The results show that heatwaves have drastic negative effects on mayflies, while imidacloprid exhibits cumulative toxicity over time.
