A comprehensive investigation on the effect of internal heat exchanger based on a novel evaluation method in the transcritical CO2 heat pump system

Summary: This study investigates the impact of the internal heat exchanger on the performance of transcritical CO2 heat pump system, and proposes two evaluation methods to assess this impact. The research findings suggest that the influence of the internal heat exchanger on system performance can be effectively evaluated by the actual increase rate of COP. Furthermore, the results show that the effect of the internal heat exchanger on exergy efficiency varies at different discharge pressures and ambient temperatures.
