Yolk-shell structured CuSi2P3@Graphene nanocomposite anode for long-life and high-rate lithium-ion batteries

Wenwu Li et al.

Summary: A cation-disordered CuSi2P3 material synthesized using high-energy ball milling shows improved stability, larger capacity, and higher ionic and electronic conductivity compared to pure silicon. When combined with graphite, a yolk-shell structured carbon-coated CuSi2P3@graphene nanocomposite demonstrates enhanced long-term cycling stability and rate capability. Coupled with a LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 cathode, the NCM//CuSi2P3@graphene battery exhibits high capacity after 200 cycles, indicating the potential of CuSi2P3 anodes for high-performance LIBs.

Boosting Lithium-Ion Transport Kinetics by Increasing the Local Lithium-Ion Concentration Gradient in Composite Anodes of Lithium-Ion Batteries

Weiwei Wu et al.

Summary: Constructing composite electrodes with core-double-shell-structured Si@C@TiO2 can improve the specific capacity and electrochemical performance of Li-ion batteries. Increasing the number of TiO2/C heterointerfaces in multilayer film TiO2/C enhances the electrochemical performance significantly. Combining TiO2/C with Si to form a composite anode Si/C/TiO2 effectively improves the utilization rate of Si, reaching up to 98% in the first cycle.

Boosting reversible lithium storage in two-dimensional C3N4 by achieving suitable adsorption energy via Si doping

David Adekoya et al.

Summary: Graphitic carbon nitride (C3N4) has large pores that can store alkali-metal atoms, but the high adsorption energy of Li atoms at the pore sites results in low efficiency. Doping Si atoms into C3N4 significantly reduces the adsorption energy of Li, leading to improved lithium storage capacity.
