Selective Catalytic Reduction of N2O by CO over Fe-Beta Zeolites Catalysts: Influence of Iron Species Distribution

Jie Zeng et al.

Summary: This paper investigated the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of N2O by CO over Fe-beta zeolites catalysts, finding that Fe-beta-IE catalyst exhibited high N2O removal activity at 350 degrees Celsius, with isolated Fe((III))ions potentially serving as active sites. The presence of H2O inhibited the CO-SCR activities for N2O removal over Fe-beta catalysts due to hydroxylation deactivation of iron species and excess accumulation of carbonates.

Two-dimensional vermiculite carried CuCoCe catalysts for CO-SCR in the presence of O2 and H2O: Experimental and DFT calculation

Zhisong Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, a two-dimensional vermiculite-supported copper-cobalt-cerium catalyst was prepared and applied for the CO-SCR reaction. The catalyst showed excellent NO conversion efficiency and lower activation energy compared to other catalysts, indicating its potential for practical applications in the SCR pathways.

Effects of phosphorus modification on the catalytic properties and performance of CuCeZr mixed metal catalyst for simultaneous removal of CO and NOx

Qi Liu et al.

Summary: Phosphorus-modified CuCeZr catalyst demonstrates high conversion rates for both CO and NOR, achieving up to 90% conversion at temperatures of 200-350 degrees Celsius. The modification balances the catalyst's redox ability and surface acidity, facilitating the suppression of NH3 over-oxidation during selective catalytic reduction (SCR) process. This work paves the way for simultaneous CO oxidation and NH3-SCR reactions on a single catalyst, offering a novel approach for synergistic control of flue gas pollutants.

Bimetal oxide CuO/Co3O4 derived from Cu ions partly-substituted framework of ZIF-67 for toluene catalytic oxidation

Wenjian Xu et al.

Summary: A bimetal oxide CuO/Co3O4 catalyst was synthesized using a MOF-templated method, showing excellent catalytic performance at low temperatures, good stability, and tolerance to water vapor. The superior performance is attributed to the high dispersion of the two oxides, porous structure, and abundant active oxygen species.

La promoted CuO-MnOx catalysts for optimizing SCR performance of NO with CO

Tangkang Liu et al.

Summary: La-Cu-Mn-O catalysts with different La contents were prepared and evaluated for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO by CO (CO-SCR). Lanthanum was found to be conducive in reducing the size of copper and manganese particles, preventing their agglomeration, and enhancing the reducibility of the catalysts. This led to the increase in exposed active sites and a high proportion of active ions on the surface, promoting NO conversion at lower temperatures.

Effect of the modification of alumina supports with chloride on the structure and catalytic performance of Ag/Al2O3 catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with propene and H2/propene

Jia Wang et al.

Summary: Modification of alumina support with chloride facilitates the formation of oxidized silver species that catalyze the oxidation of hydrocarbons into acetate species, promoting the SCR reaction. The presence of silver species enhances the decomposition of adsorbed nitrates on the catalyst surface, leading to low-temperature promotion of the SCR reaction with hydrogen as a reductant. Acrylonitrile was identified as a gaseous intermediate in the H-2/C3H6-SCR reaction.

Influence of cerium doping on Cu-Ni/activated carbon low-temperature CO-SCR denitration catalysts

Defu Wang et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of activating nitric acid using air thermal oxidation and Ce doping on a low-temperature CO-SCR denitration catalyst. Ce doping improved the denitration efficiency, enhanced the pore structure of activated carbon, and increased the number of acidic oxygen-containing functional groups. The introduction of Ce into the catalyst increased the proportions of certain metal ions on the surface and led to the formation of more reaction units, promoting the CO-SCR reaction for enhanced low-temperature denitration.
