Flexible resistive NO2 gas sensor of three-dimensional crumpled MXene Ti3C2Tx/ZnO spheres for room temperature application

Zijie Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, a room-temperature flexible NO2 sensor based on three-dimensional crumpled MXene sphere prepared by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technology is developed. The performance is further improved by designing 3D crumpled MXene sphere/ZnO composites sensitive electrode with high specific surface area and active sites. The excellent NO2 sensing properties are attributed to the high surface area, abundance of edges and defects, and the formation of MXene/ZnO p-n heterojunction.

Morphology-dependent NO2 gas sensing for needle-like In2O3 chemiresistor nanosensors

Chih-Wei Chen et al.

Summary: The surface facet and aspect ratio of one-dimensional In2O3 nanoneedles play a critical role in gas-sensing behavior towards model NO2 gas concentrations. Sensing response shows a bell-shaped dependence on aspect ratio, with nanoicicle sensors exhibiting a maximum increase in sensing response compared to nanotower sensors at 100 degrees C.

MXene/SnO2 heterojunction based chemical gas sensors

Tingting He et al.

Summary: The 2D MXene/SnO2 heterojunction-based chemiresistive sensor shows excellent sensitivity and selectivity to NH3, with the sensing properties attributed to MXene's unique adsorption ability and conductivity, and the Fermi level difference between MXene and SnO2 driving charge transfer to enhance sensitivity. Additionally, a wireless sensor utilizing low-temperature cofired ceramic technique demonstrates fast response/recovery speeds and stable response to ammonia concentrations, showing promising practical application potential.
