Fabrication of ternary AgBr/BiPO4/g-C3N4 heterostructure with dual Z-scheme and its visible light photocatalytic activity for Reactive Blue 19

Yuzhen Li et al.

Summary: The preparation of a plasmonic photocatalyst with AgBr/BiPO4/g-C3N4 was investigated in order to degrade Reactive Blue 19. Through various analyses, it was determined that O•2- is the main active species in the photocatalytic process for degrading the dye. synergistic effects at the AgBr/BiPO4/g-C3N4 interface were also found to play a crucial role in the efficiency of the photocatalytic process.

In-situ construction of metallic Ni3C@Ni core-shell cocatalysts over g-C3N4 nanosheets for shell-thickness-dependent photocatalytic H2 production

Rongchen Shen et al.

Summary: The shell-thickness-controlled Ni3C@Ni/g-C3N4 photocatalysts were designed with intimate Schottky junctions using an in situ high-temperature transformation strategy. Optimized Ni shell-layer thickness of 15 nm achieved the best visible-light photocatalytic H2-production performance. The intimate Schottky-junctions hinder rapid charge recombination, increase reactive sites, and boost catalytic kinetics, leading to shellthickness-dependent hydrogen evolution.
