Synthesis and gas sensing properties of NiO/ZnO heterostructured nanowires

Summary: In this study, NiO/ZnO heterostructured nanowires were synthesized using a two-step liquid phase route, and their gas sensing characteristics were investigated. The sensors showed high sensitivity and stability at the optimum operating temperature of 300 degrees C.

Summary: The study showed that Ga doping can improve the sensing properties of NiO nanoparticles, including increasing surface area, changing surface morphology, and enhancing defect concentration. Additionally, the catalytic effect of Ga can lower the activation energy of NiO and improve its sensing performance for ethanol.

Summary: A VO2 (B) ultrathin vertical nanosheet array was prepared by hydrothermal method to study the influence of oxalic acid concentration on crystal structure and room-temperature NO2 sensing performance. The experimental results showed high response to 5 ppm NO2 with low detection limit. The structure has potential applications in low-power-consumption gas sensors.
