Influence of Synthesis Temperature on the Phases Developed and Optical Properties of Manganese Sulfide and Zinc Sulfide

Zein K. Heiba et al.

Summary: In the study of preparing nano MnS and ZnS samples through thermolysis, it is found that synthesis temperature significantly affects the formation of different phases, lattice parameters, and crystallite size, with samples being biphasic until a specific temperature where single phases exist.

Effect of vacuum annealing on structural, optical and magnetic properties of Sn doped ZnS thin films

Chaitanya Kumar Kunapalli et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of vacuum annealing on the structural, optical, and magnetic properties of tin doped zinc sulphide thin films. Vacuum annealing resulted in a cubic structure with finer crystallite size, higher transmittance, and a narrower band gap. Surface defects were confirmed by observation of broad emission photoluminescence peaks, and paramagnetic behavior was observed with reduced maximum magnetization compared to unannealed films.

Doping-induced photocatalytic activity and hydrogen evolution of ZnS: V nanoparticles

B. Poornaprakash et al.

Summary: In this study, ZnS: V nanoparticles were synthesized using the chemical-refluxing technique, and it was found that V ions occupied the Zn host site without altering the original structure. The 2 at% ZnS: V sample exhibited superior photocatalytic activity and hydrogen evolution rate compared to other concentrations.

Effect of preparation temperature on the structural, optical and electronic properties of co-doped ZnS nanostructures

Zein K. Heiba et al.

Summary: In this study, the impact of preparation temperature on the structural, optical, and electronic properties of cobalt-doped zinc sulfide nanostructures was investigated. Results showed that increasing the preparation temperature led to changes in lattice parameters, crystallite size, and optical properties. Different defects in the samples were identified using photoluminescence, with density functional theory calculations used to analyze electronic and optical parameters.

Vanadium Doped ZnS Nanoparticles: Effect of Vanadium Concentration on Structural, Optical and Electrical Properties

Md. Sohel Rana et al.

Summary: Vanadium (V) doped zinc sulfide (ZnS) nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by chemical co-precipitation method. The study indicated that the doping concentration could influence the crystal structure, optical properties, and electrical properties of the nanoparticles. The bandgap tuning behavior with V-doping concentrations may have interesting applications in optoelectronic devices.
