Summary: The study focused on developing a new low carbon composite material using illite clay and titanium dioxide as stabilizing and whitening agents. It was found that the addition of low loading of titanium dioxide significantly impacted the whiteness index, stability of tensile strength, and Young's modulus of the composites. The thermal stability increased by approximately 7% with the inclusion of illite-titania composite at 18:2 weight ratio.

Summary: This study investigated the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibers using lignin, demonstrating the presence of AgNPs and potential biomedical applications of the composite nanofibers. The synthesized AgNPs were found to be dependent on precursor silver salt and reductant lignin concentration, with promising antibacterial efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains. Initial burst release of silver elements and proportionally expansive release amounts were observed, indicating the potential for use in biomedicine.

Ekaterina Naumenko et al.

Summary: Forskolin-modified halloysite nanotubes were used as a dopant in biopolymer porous hydrogel scaffolds to induce osteodifferentiation of equine mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) without the addition of specific growth factors. The study demonstrated the acceleration of bone defect regeneration by inducing osteodifferentiation processes in endogenous MSCs. The reinforcement of mechanical properties during osteodifferentiation was confirmed using atomic force microscopy (AFM).
