Efficient removal of levofloxacin from different water matrices via simultaneous adsorption and photocatalysis using a magnetic Ag3PO4/rGO/CoFe2O4 catalyst

Zheng Hu et al.

Summary: The magnetic Ag3PO4/rGO/CoFe2O4 ternary catalyst exhibits superior adsorption-photocatalysis performance for removing LVF from water matrices, owing to enhanced adsorption ability and charge separation efficiency by rGO component. Singlet oxygen (O-1(2)) is identified as the major reactive oxygen species for LVF degradation, and possible LVF degradation pathways have been established based on detected intermediates. The catalyst can be easily recovered and reused for efficient LVF removal in actual water bodies.
