Mismatch Profile Influences Outcome After Mechanical Thrombectomy

Jean-Marc Olivot et al.

Summary: This study found that baseline perfusion imaging profiles can predict the clinical response to mechanical thrombectomy, with TMM and MM profiles being associated with higher rates of functional recovery.

Prediction of Early Neurological Deterioration in Individuals With Minor Stroke and Large Vessel Occlusion Intended for Intravenous Thrombolysis Alone

Pierre Seners et al.

Summary: The study aimed to develop and validate an easily applicable predictive score for early neurological deterioration following intravenous thrombolysis in patients with acute minor stroke and large vessel occlusion. The results showed that a score based on thrombus length and occlusion site had good discriminative power for identifying ENDi risk, with higher scores associated with greater probability of ENDi occurring.

Assessment of Optimal Patient Selection for Endovascular Thrombectomy Beyond 6 Hours After Symptom Onset A Pooled Analysis of the AURORA Database

Gregory W. Albers et al.

Summary: In this study, EVT showed similar benefits among patients in the clinical mismatch and target perfusion mismatch subgroups during the 6- to 24-hour treatment interval. These findings support EVT as a treatment for patients meeting the criteria for either of the imaging mismatch profiles within the 6- to 24-hour interval.
