Artificial intelligence is used to analyze the voltammetry of acetic acid reduction in aqueous solution, providing thermodynamic and kinetic data. By recording and analyzing the steady-state current of proton reduction at a platinum microelectrode, the AI is able to generate results that closely match independent measurements, given accurate and precise knowledge of diffusion coefficients.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is used to quantitativelyanalyze the voltammetry of the reduction of acetic acid in aqueoussolution generating thermodynamic and kinetic data. Specifically, the variation of the steady-state current for the reduction ofprotons at a platinum microelectrode as a function of the bulkconcentration of acetic acid is recorded and analyzed giving data inclose agreement with independent measurements, provided the AIis trained with accurate and precise knowledge of diffusioncoefficients of acetic acid, acetate ions, and H+.
