Dictamnine delivered by PLGA nanocarriers ameliorated inflammation in an oxazolone-induced dermatitis mouse model

Summary: Dictamnine, an active pharmaceutical ingredient in Dictamnus dasycarpus, has shown to scavenge reactive oxygen species and reduce inflammatory cytokine expression. Encapsulating dictamnine in PLGA-nanocarriers enhances its penetration into the skin and ameliorates dermatitis symptoms and inflammatory cytokine expression.Using a specially designed bioreactor, this new drug formulation could potentially be used in treating atopic dermatitis.

Summary: Pimpinellin effectively inhibits collagen-induced platelet aggregation and reduces granule levels and secretion. It also decreases clot reaction and TxB2 production in platelets. Additionally, it suppresses adhesion and spreading of human platelets on fibrinogen coated surface while not significantly affecting tail bleeding time in mice.
