Uncertainty factor: an alternative way to express measurement uncertainty in chemical measurement

A new way to express uncertainty of measurement is proposed that allows for the fact that the distribution of values attributed to the measurand is sometimes approximately lognormal and therefore asymmetric around the measurement value.
