Association between Exposure to Alcohol's Harm to Others and Health-Related Quality of Life in Korean Adults: A Nationwide Population-Based Study

Mi-Jung Eum et al.

Summary: This study found a significant association between exposure to alcohol's harm to others (AHTO) and lower health-related quality of life (HRQoL) using a nationally representative sample in South Korea. Individuals exposed to AHTO had higher odds of experiencing pain/discomfort and anxiety/depression. Further research is needed to develop interventions to reduce the negative effects of AHTO on victims' well-being and to prevent future occurrences.
