Bifurcation points and bifurcated branches in fluids mechanics by high-order mesh-free geometric progression algorithms

Mohammed Rammane et al.

Summary: This article proposes to investigate numerically the steady bifurcation points and bifurcated branches in fluid mechanics using high-order mesh-free geometric progression algorithms. The algorithms transform the nonlinear equations into a succession of linear ones by introducing penalty technique. The Geometric Progression allows to detect bifurcation points accurately.

Buckling and post-buckling analysis of a functionally graded material (FGM) plate by the Asymptotic Numerical Method

Yassir Sitli et al.

Summary: A high order finite element model for buckling and post-buckling analysis of functionally graded material plate is proposed in this paper. The analysis is based on classical thin-plate kinematics and static equilibrium equations are obtained using the principle of potential energy. The validity and accuracy of the model is tested by numerical comparisons.
