Detecting and Augmenting Missing Key Aspects in Vulnerability Descriptions

Summary: This article examines the issue of incomplete vulnerability descriptions in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) database and proposes a neural-network-based approach called PMA to predict missing key aspects of a vulnerability. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated through experiments, showing high accuracy in predicting key vulnerability aspects. The proposed method has the potential to reduce human efforts and improve the completeness of vulnerability databases.
