The article describes the layout of the medieval wall remains in the city of Osuna and the approximate plan of their surroundings. It analyzes the situation of the complex in the 16th century based on documentary and archaeological sources.
Of what was once the medieval wall of the city of Osuna, only the Torre del Agua and some isolated remains remain standing today, such as those that give name to the Cerro de los Paredones or those recently excavated in Calle Caldenegros. Our objec-tive is to propose their possible layout, the position of the gates and of the nearby singular elements, as well as the drawing of the approximate plan of their surroundings. The analysis refers to the situation of the complex in the 16th century, a key moment in city urbanism, to which the documentation refers. For that purpose, we have based our work on the joint study of the plan and the documentary and archaeological sources. The analysis of the plan aims to identify the imprint of the wall on the con-solidated urban fabric. This means that the work is limited to the part of the circuit that runs along what remains as such today, that is, approximately its north-western half.
