Mutual Aid in north London during the Covid-19 pandemic

Summary: During the Covid-19 pandemic, residents in north London formed neighbourhood Mutual Aid groups to meet basic survival needs and foster social interactions. Their success was attributed to rapid mobilization, adaptability, and local knowledge, highlighting the potential of grassroots structures. Their bottom-up organization, based on 'Solidarity not Charity', offered a unique way to express dissent with policy responses to the pandemic and aligned them with social movements of the 2010s.
