Amateur porn in Filipino Twitter alter community: affordances, commodification, ghettoization, and gay masculinity

Summary: This research examines the production and circulation of amateur porn by a collective of Filipino Twitter users in the Alter community. It analyzes how Twitter's features and user practices affect the creation and dissemination of porn, and its implications for understanding gay masculinity and sexual politics. The study suggests that the Alter community serves as a platform for Filipino individuals to perform and affirm their masculinity, while also reflecting societal attitudes towards sexuality in the Philippines.
