Physicians should be vigilant about the potential development of subacute thyroiditis (SAT) following COVID-19 vaccination, as it may manifest with symptoms such as anterior neck pain, prolonged fever, or palpitations in recently vaccinated individuals, which should not be dismissed as common post-vaccination flu-like symptoms, thus enabling timely diagnosis and management.
Physicians should be alert about the possibility of subacute thyroiditis (SAT) being induced by COVID-19 vaccination. SAT may present with anterior neck pain, extended fever or palpitation in recently vaccinated patients, which should not be easily dismissed as expected post-vaccination flu-like symptoms, thereby, facilitating in time diagnosis and treatment.
