Conceptions of Happiness Mediate the Relationship Between the Dark Triad and Well-Being

Summary: This study investigated the associations between the Dark Triad traits and mental well-being in a Korean adult sample, and the mediating role of conceptions of happiness in these associations. The results showed that Machiavellianism and psychopathy were negatively associated, while narcissism was positively associated with well-being. Conceptions of happiness played a partial mediating role in the relationships between the dark triad traits and well-being.
