Seeing the mind of robots: Harm augments mind perception but benevolent intentions reduce dehumanisation of artificial entities in visual vignettes

Summary: According to the moral typecasting theory and dehumanisation perspective, malevolent actions enhance mind attribution towards intentionally harmed patients, while benevolent actions reduce dehumanisation of the patients. However, the effects of intentions on mind perception may be mediated by empathy and dehumanisation.
