Cross-Cultural Differences in Adopting Social Cognitive Career Theory at Student Employability in PLS-SEM: The Mediating Roles of Self-Efficacy and Deep Approach to Learning

Summary: This study examines the learning methods of Taiwanese and Malaysian university students and the relationship between teacher knowledge transfer and student employability from the perspective of a social cognitive career theory. The results show that in the Taiwanese sample, teacher knowledge transfer has a significant positive correlation with student employability, while in the Malaysian sample, all paths except for the one between teacher knowledge transfer and student employability are significant and positively related. The study proposes practical and theoretical implications for future research based on the findings.

Summary: This study compares the development of subjective wellbeing among Taiwanese and mainland Chinese employees, with Taiwanese employees showing more significant paths in terms of prior knowledge, perceived organizational support, self-efficacy, employee employability, subjective wellbeing, and job performance. Based on the conclusions, the study proposes specific suggestions on theoretical models for future research.

Summary: High personal disclosure in CEO's social media posts did not increase perceived likability or competence of the CEO, and CEO gender did not impact these outcomes. However, professional disclosure by the CEO proved to be an effective way to gain perceived relationship investment from the publics. Lastly, there may be implicit gender bias in publics' cognitive and behavioral evaluations of a female CEO.

Enhancing employee advocacy on social media: the value of internal relationship management approach

Summary: This study proposes and tests an integrative model to advance the theoretical understanding of employees' advocacy on social media, focusing on the impact of individual and organizational factors. Results from an online survey of 419 full-time employees in the USA demonstrate the significant influence of symmetrical internal communication on employee-organization relationship and advocacy intentions, as well as the effects of positive behavioral motivations on social media on advocacy intentions. This study contributes to the value of strategic internal communication and relationship management in enhancing employee advocacy in the digital environment.
