Abusive supervision: A systematic review and fundamental rethink

Summary: This study provides a systematic and critical review of abusive supervision research, identifying four major challenges: conceptual confusion, weak measurement tools, reliance on research methods, and the low base rate phenomenon of abusive supervision. Recommendations for a fundamental rethink of abusive supervision are proposed to advance theoretical progress and policy implementation in future research.
