Tris(Keto-Hydrazone): A Fully Integrated Highly Stable and Exceptionally Sensitive H2S Capacitive Sensor

Summary: A novel organic capacitive sensor with high sensitivity and specificity for detecting hydrogen sulfide gas has been developed. The sensor demonstrates an experimental limit of detection for H2S gas of around 25 parts per billion, minimal response to humidity, and high ambient stability. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy confirms adsorption of sulfur atoms on the monomer surface after exposure to H2S gas, and the device can be revived with a short purge of N-2 gas.
