CN decoration of dibenzofuran modified biphenyl for high triplet energy host for blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes

Eui Gun Lee et al.

Summary: A highly electron deficient and high triplet energy host was developed by decorating a dibenzofuran modified biphenyl backbone structure with multiple CN units. The derived hosts exhibited high triplet energy and acted as electron transport type hosts. A combination of these hosts with a hole transport type material achieved high external quantum efficiency in blue phosphorescent OLEDs.

Significant enhancement in quantum-dot light emitting device stability via a ZnO:polyethylenimine mixture in the electron transport layer

Dong Seob Chung et al.

Summary: The study found that blending PEI into the ZnO ETL can improve the efficiency of QDLEDs by over 50% and significantly enhance their stability, leading to longer device lifetime. Further experiments showed that the ZnO:PEI ETL allows electrons to penetrate deeper into the HTL of QDLEDs, reducing hole accumulation at the QD/HTL interface.
