Hierarchical red phosphorus incorporated TiO2 hollow sphere heterojunctions toward superior photocatalytic hydrogen production

Guiqing Huang et al.

Summary: In this study, RP modified TiO2 hollow spheres were used for solar-to-hydrogen conversion. The optimal hydrogen production rate was achieved with the TiO2@RP heterostructure under simulated solar light irradiation. The hollow sphere structure and RP light absorber extended light absorption ability, and the heterostructure induced interfacial charge migration facilitated photoinduced charge separation, resulting in enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production performance.
