Green accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) with solvent and temperature effect and green UHPLC-DAD analysis of phenolics in pepper fruit (Capsicum annum L.)

Rizwan Ahmad et al.

Summary: This study introduced a green and efficient accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) method for phenolic compound analysis, along with a UHPLC-DAD method. The research investigated the impact of different solvents and temperatures on extraction yield and phenolic recovery. The results showed that solvents played a significant role in extraction and phenolic recovery, while temperature affected extraction yield more than phenolic content.

Accelerated Solvent Extraction and Pulsed Electric Fields for Valorization of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and Sole (Dover sole) By-Products: Protein Content, Molecular Weight Distribution and Antioxidant Potential of the Extracts

Min Wang et al.

Summary: Fishery by-products contain biologically active substances, and using green and efficient extraction methods to recover these compounds is crucial. This study utilized accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) and pulsed electric fields (PEF) to extract proteins and evaluate antioxidant capacity from rainbow trout and sole by-products. Results showed significant improvements in protein extraction efficiency and antioxidant capacity with both ASE and PEF treatments.
