Serum Malondialdehyde as a Biomarker of Oxidative Stress in Patients with Primary Ocular Carcinoma: Impact on Response to Chemotherapy

Summary: The study revealed significantly elevated serum malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in patients with primary ocular malignancies, which decreased after chemotherapy. Serum MDA levels had prognostic significance with regards to tumor size and lymph node metastasis, indicating its potential as a biomarker for assessing oxidative stress and response to chemotherapy in ocular carcinoma.
