Physical inactivity and its predictors among adolescents in Saudi Arabia A cross-sectional comparison between cities with and without a Healthy Cities Program

Ibrahim Alasqah et al.

Summary: The study estimated the prevalence of insufficient physical activity and excessive screen time among adolescents in the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia, finding no significant impact of the Healthy Cities Program on adolescents' physical activity behaviors. Risk factors for insufficient physical activity included being female and older age, while excessive screen time was more prevalent in cities participating in the program. The findings highlight the need for further evaluation of the program's outcomes in Saudi Arabia.
