Effect of MgO on Phase Development in Hematiteilmenite Ore Sinter

Summary: The study found that the addition of MgO in the sintering of hematite-ilmenite ores resulted in increased formation of MgO·Fe2O3 and Mg-rich SFCA, as well as higher retention of Ti in the Fe-rich phase. However, the formation of CaO·TiO2·SiO2 phase decreased with increasing MgO addition.
