Qiliqiangxin Prescription Promotes Angiogenesis of Hypoxic Primary Rat Car-diac Microvascular Endothelial Cells via Regulating miR-21 Signaling

Yanyan Wang et al.

Summary: The study found that under hypoxia, miR-21 was activated and impaired the functions of CMECs, while QL further upregulated miR-21 and improved cell functions. This effect was abolished by a knockdown of miR-21, indicating that the pro-angiogenesis effects of QL on hypoxic CMECs are mediated by activating miR-21.

MiRNA-155-5p inhibits epithelium-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) by targeting GSK-3β during radiation-induced pulmonary fibrosis

Duo Wang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrated the critical role of miR-155-5p in radiation-induced EMT and RIPF, with its regulation through the GSK-3 beta/NF-kappa B pathway. The downregulation of miR-155-5p induced EMT and contributed to RIPF formation, while ectopic expression of miR-155-5p alleviated RIPF in mice. These findings provide further insights into the regulation of RIPF and potential therapeutic targets.

Deregulation of IL-37 and its miRNAs modulators in sarcopenic patients after rehabilitation

Francesca La Rosa et al.

Summary: The study showed that rehabilitation in sarcopenic patients led to significant improvements in physical and cognitive conditions, as well as a reduction in inflammation. Additionally, the rehabilitation protocol increased the concentration of miRNAs known to regulate IL-37 production, suggesting IL-37 may be a potential therapeutic target for sarcopenic patients.

miR-132 downregulation alleviates behavioral impairment of rats exposed to single prolonged stress, reduces the level of apoptosis in PFC, and upregulates the expression of MeCP2 and BDNF

Lei Tong et al.

Summary: In this study, miR-132 was found to be involved in the formation of anxiety-like symptoms in adult rat PTSD models by targeting MeCP2, with its effects related to the BDNF/TrkB and its downstream ERK and Akt signaling pathways. These findings suggest that targeting miR-132 may provide a potential therapeutic strategy for PTSD.
