Conductance of a single molecule C60-SnPc heterojunction

Yifan Wang et al.

Summary: The geometries of molecule-molecule interfaces have a significant impact on the current passing between molecules. This study investigates the contact conductance of molecule-molecule junctions composed of fullerene and tin phthalocyanine molecules using a low-temperature scanning tunneling microscope. The experimental method can be applied to study the intermolecular charge transport in various molecular junctions.

Charge transport at the protein-electrode interface in the emerging field of BioMolecular Electronics

Tracy Q. Ha et al.

Summary: The emerging field of BioMolecular Electronics aims to uncover the charge transport characteristics of biomolecules in order to build the next generation of hybrid bioelectronic devices. Understanding how specific chemical modifications of supramolecular protein structures influence long-range charge transport in such devices is crucial for advancing this new area of molecular electronics.
