Computed tomography-based hemodynamic index for aortic dissection

Summary: This study proposed a new computed tomography-based hemodynamic indicator to quantify the functional significance of aortic dissection and predict post-intervention luminal remodeling. The first balance position of luminal pressure difference was found to be associated with functional improvement after intervention and may be used to predict longitudinal aortic remodeling. The study highlighted the importance of assessing hemodynamic status in aortic dissection for optimizing treatment outcomes.

Satisfactory Long-term Outcomes of Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair With a Bare Stent for Acute Complicated Type B Aortic Dissections

Summary: This study compared the clinical outcomes of cATBAD patients undergoing TEVAR with a bare stent versus TEVAR alone. The addition of a distal bare stent to a thoracic stent-graft during TEVAR was associated with significantly improved long-term survival in cATBAD patients, likely due to the prevention of true lumen collapse and improvement of complete false lumen thrombosis of the dissected aorta.
