Prevalence, pattern and determinants of chronic disease multimorbidity in Nepal: secondary analysis of a national survey

Raja Ram Dhungana et al.

Summary: This study assessed the prevalence, pattern, and determinants of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) multimorbidity in Nepal using data from the nationally representative survey conducted between 2016 and 2018. The study found that multimorbidity was present in 13.96% of participants, with hypertension and diabetes being common coexisting conditions. Factors such as age, alcohol consumption, and body mass index were significantly associated with multimorbidity.
