Adipokine gene expression in adipocytes isolated from different fat depots of coronary artery disease patients

Maxim Yu Sinitsky et al.

Summary: This study compared the gene expression levels of adipocytes in different adipose tissues of coronary artery disease patients. It was found that DPP4 and APLN mRNA were higher expressed in epicardial adipose tissue, while ITLN1 gene was overexpressed in this tissue. Additionally, APLN and DPP4 mRNA expression were correlated with blood lipid levels.
