Binary antisolvent bathing enabled highly efficient and uniform large-area perovskite solar cells

Gyumin Jang et al.

Summary: A binary antisolvent bathing approach was proposed for the formation of large-area perovskite solar cells with excellent power conversion efficiency. This method slowed down the crystallization process, resulting in enlarged perovskite crystals with highly preferential orientation alignment, improving charge extraction and reducing non-radiative recombination. The photovoltaic performance was significantly enhanced, and the binary antisolvent approach allowed for rapid elimination of residual antisolvent, enabling the fabrication of uniform large-area PSCs.

Prospects for metal halide perovskite-based tandem solar cells

Rui Wang et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskite photovoltaics have made significant progress in the past decade, particularly in increasing the efficiency of single-junction perovskite solar cells from 3.8% to 25.5%. The broad bandgap tunability of perovskites can potentially overcome the efficiency limits of traditional solar cells, and the development of tandem solar cells pairing perovskite with other mature photovoltaic technologies shows promising prospects.

Reducing Defects in Organic-Lead Halide Perovskite Film by Delayed Thermal Annealing Combined with KI/I2 for Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells

Kun-Mu Lee et al.

Summary: This study improved the quality of CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI(3)) perovskite films by delaying thermal annealing and introducing KI and I-2 additives. The optimal delayed thermal annealing time was found to be 60 minutes, while the addition of KI/I-2 can enhance the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells. Under optimized conditions, the efficiency of MAPbI(3) perovskite solar cells can reach 19.36%.
