Theory of a frequency-dependent beam splitter in the form of coupled waveguides

Summary: In quantum optics and quantum technologies, the beam splitter is a commonly used device, with the coefficients of reflection, transmission, and phase shift generally depending on the frequencies of incoming photons, the interaction time of photons in the device, and the type of device. The results obtained suggest that these coefficients cannot be considered constant, and criteria for when they can be considered constant have been defined.
