Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) boundary layer flow of hybrid nanofluid over a moving plate with Joule heating

Najiyah Safwa Khashi'ie et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the heat transfer in MHD hybrid nanofluid flow on a moving plate. Numerical solutions reveal two possible solutions, with the first solution being the physically realizable one. The study shows that increasing the strength of suction and magnetic parameter enhances heat transfer and extends the critical value, while the Eckert number has no effect on the critical value. This research is significant in understanding the thermal behavior of nanofluids and has practical implications in industrial applications.

Boundary-layer flow of the power-law fluid over a moving wedge: a linear stability analysis

Ramesh B. Kudenatti et al.

Summary: The study investigates the stability of power-law non-Newtonian fluid flow over a moving wedge, considering both shear-thickening and shear-thinning fluids. It reveals the non-uniqueness and stability issues of the solutions, as well as the prediction of infinite viscosity in the boundary-layer region for power-law fluids. Extensive comparisons are made with existing models, providing a physical explanation for the solutions.

Boundary layer flow and heat transfer of Cu-Al2O3/water over a moving horizontal slender needle in presence of hydromagnetic and slip effects

Nur Adilah Liyana Aladdin et al.

Summary: The study shows the existence of dual solutions within a specific range, with a unique solution in another range. The range of dual solutions decreases as hydromagnetic, slip effect, and needle size increase. Reduction in skin friction between the needle and fluid is observed when hydromagnetic, slip effect, and needle size increase.
