Influence of Tibetan Plateau autumn snow cover on interannual variations in spring precipitation over southern China

Summary: The study found that extensive autumn snow cover in the western Tibetan Plateau is positively correlated with spring precipitation in southern China, independent of sea surface temperature anomalies in the tropical Indo-Pacific regions. When snow cover in autumn is more extensive than normal, it has a positive impact on spring precipitation in the following season.
