Strategies for high performance and scalable on-chip spectrometers

Junzhuan Wang et al.

Summary: Miniature spectrometers have promising potential for on-chip or in situ optical analysis. Recent advancements have focused on reducing size and improving performance by utilizing new light analysis strategies and nanostructured materials. The development of sophisticated gratings, resonators, interferometers, and photonic crystals, along with enhancement in computational spectra algorithms, have led to notable increases in spectral range and resolution.
