Delivering Two Tumour Antigens Survivin and Mucin-1 on Virus-Like Particles Enhances Anti-Tumour Immune Responses

Summary: The study investigated whether co-delivery of multiple antigens on virus-like particles (VLPs) could induce a superior anti-cancer response for breast cancer immunotherapy. Results showed that co-delivery of two tumor antigens on VLPs can induce a stronger anti-tumor immune response compared to the delivery of single antigens. However, additional strategies are needed to break tolerance when targeted tumor antigens are expressed as endogenous self-proteins.

Chimeric VLPs Bearing VP60 from Two Serotypes of Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease Virus Are Protective against Both Viruses

Summary: The VP60 capsid protein from rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus can form virus-like particles when expressed using different protein expression systems. In this study, a dual-serving RHDV vaccine was successfully developed using CrisBio technology, which allows the co-expression of VP60 proteins from two RHDV serotypes. Rabbits immunised with the chimeric VLPs were fully protected against a lethal challenge infection with the two RHDV serotypes, demonstrating the effectiveness of the dual vaccine strategy.
