Effects of Composts Made from Broiler Chicken Residues and Blended with Biochar on the Minerals and Phenolic Compounds in Parsley (Petroselinum crispum Mill.)

Francielly T. Santos et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of using different organic substrates and biochar on the yield and chemical composition of parsley plants. It was found that sawdust-based substrate resulted in the highest yield, while the tree-based substrate had the highest phenolic levels and antioxidant activities.

Innovative Olive Tree Leaves Shredder Prototype for the Valorization of Wasted Leaves: An Application to High-Quality Compost Production

Alessio Cappelli et al.

Summary: The study showed that an innovative olive tree leaves shredder can significantly reduce the volume of leaves and produce high-quality compost by mixing the minced leaves with other by-products. This method not only addresses environmental issues but also complies with Italian regulations, enhancing the value of waste products.
