Female breast cancer surpassed lung cancer as the most commonly diagnosed cancer, while lung cancer remained the leading cause of cancer death. These trends are expected to rise in 2040, with transitioning countries experiencing a larger increase compared to transitioned countries due to demographic changes and risk factors associated with globalization and a growing economy. Efforts to improve cancer prevention measures and provision of cancer care in transitioning countries will be crucial for global cancer control.

Vaginal-assisted gasless laparoendoscopic single-site radical hysterectomy for early cervical cancer: a retrospective pilot study

Radical hysterectomy in early cervical cancer in Europe: characteristics, outcomes and evaluation of ESGO quality indicators

This study evaluated baseline characteristics and outcomes of ESGO quality indicators after radical hysterectomy in the SUCCOR database. Results showed a higher rate of adjuvant therapy after radical hysterectomy in this European cohort compared to similar patients in the literature, with most centers already following European recommendations 5 years prior to ESGO quality indicator implementations.

Treatment Outcomes of Early Carcinoma Cervix Before and After Sub-specialization
