Light-induced reversal of ion segregation in mixed-halide perovskites

Wenxin Mao et al.

Summary: By controlling the intensity of light irradiation, the segregation and remixing of halide ions in mixed-halide perovskites can be achieved, allowing for the control of their chemical composition and optical bandgap. This opens up new opportunities for the use of mixed-halide perovskites in concentrator and tandem solar cells, high-power light-emissive devices, and optical memory applications.

A bottom-up cost analysis of silicon-perovskite tandem photovoltaics

Nathan L. Chang et al.

Summary: Stacking two photovoltaic cells to form a tandem structure can improve efficiency, but cost barriers exist in both perovskite and silicon cells. Research suggests that using lower cost homojunction silicon cells and improving perovskite deposition processes could be key to reducing costs and increasing overall efficiency in the future.
