Evaluation of serum ATX and LPA as potential diagnostic biomarkers in patients with pancreatic cancer

Jiang Chen et al.

Summary: Serum levels of ATX, LPA, and CA19-9 were significantly higher in PC patients compared to BPD patients and HVs, with LPA showing a sensitivity of 91.74% and ATX a specificity of 80% for early phase PC. The diagnostic efficacy of CA19-9 for PC was significantly improved by combining it with ATX and LPA.

Combination of preoperative fibrinogen and D-dimer as a prognostic indicator in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma patients undergoing R0 resection

Li-Peng Zhang et al.

Summary: This retrospective study analyzed the clinical data of 282 pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patients and found that preoperative fibrinogen and D-dimer levels were associated with overall survival after radical R0 resection. Low preoperative fibrinogen and D-dimer levels indicated prolonged survival in PDAC patients.

Preoperative plasma D-dimer independently predicts survival in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma undergoing radical resection

Haoda Chen et al.

Summary: Elevated preoperative plasma D-dimer level is a reliable independent prognostic factor for overall survival in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma undergoing resection, with potential to predict poorer survival rates. Combining D-dimer with carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) and NLR can provide a more accurate prognostic model for PDAC patients before surgery.

Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 as prognostic markers for advanced pancreatic cancer patients receiving first-line chemotherapy

Kabsoo Shin et al.

Summary: In patients with advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma undergoing first-line chemotherapy, a post-treatment NLR < 2.62 and >18% reduction in CA19-9 levels are significantly associated with better overall survival and progression-free survival. Post-treatment NLR < 2.62 alone can be used as a prognostic marker and adjunctive tool for response evaluation in CA19-9-negative patients.

Insulin-like growth factor 1 and insulin-like growth factor binding protein 2 serum levels as potential biomarkers in differential diagnosis between chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic adenocarcinoma in reference to pancreatic diabetes

Barbara Wlodarczyk et al.

Summary: IGF-1 and IGFBP-2 may serve as biomarkers for chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. IGF-1 may be an indicator for distinguishing pancreatic diabetes between chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
