High-efficacy subcellular micropatterning of proteins using fibrinogen anchors

Joseph L. Watson et al.

Summary: This study presents a general method for high specificity and homogeneity micro-patterning of almost any protein while maintaining its activity. The method, based on fibrinogen, functionalized to bind common purification tags, enhances micro-patterning efficiency and on-pattern activity of fragile proteins. It also enables subcellular micro-patterning, controlling cell shape and receptor distribution within cells.

An Approach for the Real-Time Quantification of Cytosolic Protein-Protein Interactions in Living Cells

Ilaria Incaviglia et al.

Summary: Cell-based assays are frequently used for molecular interaction analysis, offering specific and real-time insights into interactions involving native membrane receptors in living cells. The introduction of cell-based molography has expanded the range of interactions that can be analyzed by biosensors, now including cytosolic protein-protein interactions. This approach overcomes the limitations of label-based assays, providing a novel method for studying specific molecular interactions in living cells.
