Improving the thermomechanical and magnetic properties of CuMnAl Heusler alloy by TiB doping

Fabiana Kelly de Medeiros et al.

Summary: The simultaneous doping of Ti and B in CuAlMn Heusler alloys was found to reduce grain size, increase second-phase precipitates, and change the magnetic behavior from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic order. This new alternative presents improved structural and magnetic properties for technological applications.

Effects of annealing temperature on thermodynamic parameters and mechanical properties of a Cu-Al-Be-Nb-Ni-Cr alloy

Breno Henrique da Silva Andrade et al.

Summary: The study investigated the effects of annealing temperature on thermodynamic parameters and mechanical properties of a CuAlBeNbNiCr alloy. It was found that the magnitude of Gibbs free energy and elastic energies decreases with increasing temperature, while rupture deformation and stress induction increase when the annealing temperature is higher than 800 degrees C. The results highlight the effectiveness of the annealing mechanism in altering the thermodynamic and mechanical properties of CuAlBeNbNiCr alloys, providing insights for practical applications.
