The role of P2Y receptors in regulating immunity and metabolism

Marianna Lovaszi et al.

Summary: P2Y receptors play a crucial role in regulating immune cell functions and shaping the course of infectious, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases by modulating processes such as phagocytosis, chemotaxis, and cytokine production. P2Y12R ligands are already being used in therapy, and potential additional ligands are envisioned for the treatment of immune dysregulation-related diseases.

Purinergic P2 Receptors: Novel Mediators of Mechanotransduction

Qihang Kong et al.

Summary: Mechanosensing and mechanotransduction are crucial processes in mechanobiology, with purinergic P2 receptors playing a key role in cellular mechanotransduction. Understanding the specific mechanism of P2 receptor-mediated mechanotransduction is valuable, as interactions between P2 receptors and other mechanosensitive molecules affect physiological processes in cells.

ATP Inhibits Breast Cancer Migration and Bone Metastasis through Down-Regulation of CXCR4 and Purinergic Receptor P2Y11

Xiaowen Liu et al.

Summary: Bone metastasis is a common cause of death in breast cancer patients, and ATP released by bone osteocytes has been shown to inhibit metastasis of breast cancer cells by activating purinergic signaling. CXCR4 and P2Y11 play important roles in regulating this process, and understanding this mechanism may lead to the discovery of new therapeutic targets.
